Christmas Morning

After Emma and Ethan went to bed Santa came! We are so thankful for how God has provided for us this year, we are blessed beyond measure!
Emma and Ethan half awake / half asleep running down the hallway!

Ethan opening up some of his gifts.
He got a LOT of Toy Story stuff this year, and swords too!

So excited about his new Toy Story Activity pad.

Emma opening "Exactly what she asked Santa for for Christmas"
(well at least one of the things she asked for specifically!).
We had to open Belle immediately before she finished unwrapping any other presents so she could play with her!

We took the kids to the Dollar Store this year and let them buy gifts for each other as well as Alex and me. It was So cute to see them picking out stuff all on their own, but hilarious because Ethan CANNOT keep a secret and of course we knew what he got everyone before we even got out the door! Emma was a little mad about that, she kept putting her fingers in her ears and telling him to "stop telling me what you got me for Christmas!" They had fun on Christmas morning exchanging their gifts, it was sweet to see them so excited about what they had bought themselves.

Daddy got some tools and a flashlight from Ethan.
He got some shoe polish and a lock and key from Emma.

I got some Santa's from Alex and Ethan, as well as a can opener and pizza cutter from Ethan.
I also got a candle and holder from Emma. They were both very thoughtful in their gift giving!
And of course the big family gift this year was our NERF guns. We all got one from Santa! We busted out the bullets and guns and started having fun right away in our pj's.

The kids and Alex were getting pretty serious, and all is fun and games until someone get's hurt...this time it was actually Mommy's fault, I nailed Ethan right in the face. So I, being the good Mommy that I am got down on the floor put him in my lap to console him and the little booger retunrs the favore by cocking his gun and shooting me point blank in the cheek. I will say from experience those little suckers hurt if they hit you in the wrong spot!
We had a great Christmas morning. We enjoyed playing with all our new toys. And it was so nice not to be rushed since Christmas dinner was on a later schedule this year. So we got dressed and headed out the door to Nana & Papa's house....
