First Beach Trip 2009

Me and the kids took our first beach trip of the summer on Monday with my parents and sisters. We went to Siesta Key and had such a great day. Emma and Ethan had SO much fun. Ethan kept calling the ocean the "big pool" and kept pointing and wanting to go swimming, Emma enjoyed feeding the seagulls, building a sand castle, and also playing in her "mud tub" as she called it! We were really sad that Alex couldn't go with us but we plan on taking him back for the day towards the end of the week.

I LOVE this picture. Emma was up under the tent and Ethan was wanting her to come play in the water with her so he ran up to the tent and grabbed her arm "Emma, Emma, Come, Come, Emma" so they walked down to the water together and sat down. ADORABLE!

Ethan really enjoyed the ocean, especially the waves, he kept trying to "catch" them and would giggle and laugh every time one of them washed up over him.

Here is Emma exfoliating! She's my girly girl! We tried to make a sand castle but the kids just didn't have the patience so Emma decided she wanted me to dig her a hole and then she told me it was her "Mud Bath"


Eventually the hole was expanded for both of them since of course Ethan wanted to get in too! They had more fun in this sand hole. Crazy kids. It was a GREAT day, the weather was perfect and the water and sand absolutely gorgeous. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us ride with you guys, we had so much fun....we'll have to do it again soon!
