Christmas #3 - Gigi & Pop Pop's

We were finally able to celebrate Christmas with Gigi, Pop Pop, Aimee, Michael, and Gabe on Thursday, January 1st. Talk about a delay! :) But it was a nice way to start off the new year. Me and the kids went over a little early and got there about 4:30 so that the kids could play together. Alex got off work at 6:00 and was there soon after. Gigi cooked Christmas dinner all over again just for us. I cannot tell you how excited about that I was! I had been a little depressed with this Christmas so far and it was such a nice surprise that Gigi went all out for us! It was so yummy too! After dinner we cleaned up and then got down to the real business, opening gifts! Emma was so excited and didn't know where to start. While I don't wish to ever have a Christmas season like this again with so much sickness, It was kind of nice to drag things out and be able to enjoy everything seperately instead of the mad rush of getting everthing done on one day.

Emma and Ethan got so many nice gifts! The biggest hits however were the dress up clothes for Emma. Gigi has been working on them for months and did such a good job. Emma got 5 Princess dresses, shoes, jewelry, and of course wigs. And here are the wigs! HA HA! First Alex decided to put it on, and we all got a laugh out of it because he looks just like Joe Dirt, then Emma decided to try it on since it was oh so funny. One of her outfits was a ballerina outfit and as soon as she opened the tutu Ethan grabbed it and put it on his head laughing at himself. As you can tell there is never any shortage of entertainment with my husband and kids around!

We had a great evening together, hopefully next year we'll be able to do this with the whole family though. Thank you Gigi & Pop for everything! We love you!
