Christmas Parade

The annual Lakeland Christmas Parade! It's been a tradition in my family for 23 years now! I have gone every year since I was 2 years old and while some of the parade floats may not have been the best this year we still had a great time! My Dad takes the truck and chairs downtown and leaves them around 9:00 am so that we are sure to get a good spot. Alex was scheduled off for Thursday night so he got to go with us too! Emma and Ethan had a ball. My Dad and Kaley walked them all up and down the street after the road closed and of coure in keeping with tradition Dad was suckered into buying them both a glow necklace! :) Emma sat with Nana during the parade and just thought it was the most amazing thing. Ethan was pretty good too waving at all the people and watching the floats go by, he only got a little fussy near the end because it was past his bed time.

The picture below of Emma is at the very end of the Parade when the last float was almost to us with none other than Santa and Mrs. Clause aboard! :) Can you tell she was just a little bit excited! Papa held her up on his shoulders and Mrs. Clause even blew her a kiss! That just made her night.
