Pumpkin Carving
We brought our pumpkins home from the pumpkin patch and worked on carving them on Saturday when Alex was off. Kaley and Jenny stopped by to check out the action and had an inpromptu picnic lunch with the kids!
Alex got started on cutting the tops off the pumpkins and the kids could hardly wait...
...that is until we informed them that they would need to take the "guts" out of the pumpkin. Ethan wouldn't touch it at all, and Emma was making rediculously funny faces while she attempted to pull out the "yucky stuff" with Aunt Jenny.
Emma picked a "castle" for her pumpkin and Daddy worked on carving it for her.
Ethan picked a silly face for his pumpkin while Aunt Jenny did the carving for him.
As usual Ethan's interest didn't last too long and off he went to finish his picnic with Aunt Kaley.
Our finished pumpkins. Emma's "castle" and Ethan's silly face, complete with ears which Alex added at the last minute!
