Happy Birthday Emma!

Is it really possible that our baby girl is FOUR years old today? These past Four years have been such a journey of joy and happiness and we are so thankful that God has entrusted us with such a beautiful princess to raise!
Emma has the greatest personality. Here are a few of things I want to remember from this year, I'm quite sure there is something important that I won't get on this list, but here it is:
  1. Emma has a hunger for learning. She loves reading and always enjoys our bi-weekly trips to the Library. We will def have the entire Juvenile section checked out by the time she grows out of those books!
  2. Emma is a little artist. We probably go through at least one reem of paper a week...as she constantly comes and says "mommy, can I draw?" Some of her favorites to draw are hearts, dogs, dinasuars, and of course princesses! She can write her name and is VERY proud of that, so ever piece of art is always autographed! My refridgerator isn't big enough!
  3. Emma adores her little brother. They love to imagine play, they have tea parties together, build forts, hunt monsters, go fishing, and hide from bears. Her imagination never ceases to amaze me...although it does tend to go into overtime at night so we still have to comfort her a few times a week and remind her that Jesus is protecting her all the time!
  4. My most favorite "accomplishment" of Emma's this year is her love for Jesus! She truly looks forward to going to church both on Sunday mornings and Wed nights, she works hard on her memory verses every week and recites them for her teacher so well! Emma loves all her little friends at church and looks forward to learning new Bible stories every week with them. We also do a nightly devotion before bedtime and Emma never let's us forget!

We had Emma's Birthday Party on Saturday, March 13th. It was a gorgeous day and she was able to play outside with all her cousins and friends. We brought the Jumpy over from Nana & Papa's house and that of course was a big hit with all the kids! They ran and jumped and burned off some energy while we waited for everyone to show up. Cousins Charles & Isabella got Emma a pink Hula Hoop and that provided for some fun entertainment as well!

After playing outside we all went in for present time. Emma could hardly contain herself she was so excited! The theme for her birthday this year was Hello Kitty. She picked it out all by herself and was so excited to get so many Hello Kitty things! I especially want to give a shout out to anyone who bought her clothes - THANK YOU! She's growing like a weed these days!

We had her cake especially made by Leah Walker (THANK YOU LEAH!) and it turned out so cute! Didn't hurt that it tasted amazing too! I LOVE the top left picture in the above collage...Emma's face is so cute here as she was waiting to blow out the candles while we sang to her.

These two photos capture Emma for her true self. Our little Princess/Diva! Emma had informed me before her party that she HAD to have a Hello Kitty dress to wear for her party and thank goodness we were able to find one...she got the glasses as a gift and thought she was just stylin!
Emma Joy - Mommy and Daddy love you so much. We are so proud of the big girl you are growing into and we thank Jesus every day for giving you to us! You are truly a gift from God!
