Jesus is the Reason

It's so easy to get caught up in all the hussle and bustle of the "Season" and forget the REAL meaning for why we celebrate Christmas - Jesus! This year is special for us as a family because Emma and Ethan are old enough to understand and appreciate the true reason of Christmas.

We have been reading them children's versions of the Christmas Story and talking a lot about Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and Bethlehem. We want our children to enjoy the presents and even Santa Claus but we want them to realize the reason we Celebrate is because of Baby Jesus Birth, and we give/recieve presents in honor of his Birthday.

So we pulled out the Nativity set and went thru the story with Emma and Ethan once again, they were so excited when I unwrapped the Baby Jesus and they got to place him in the stable. I know that Emma has given her heart to Jesus, and my prayer is that Ethan will follow in that step in the very near future!
