Trick Or Treat?

We did our usual "tradition" for Halloween, which is go to the Mall and eat Chick Fil A for dinner (the kids eat free when they are in costume!), trick or treat in the mall, and then off to our church for the Fall Festival. The kids as usual had a great night and scored way too much candy!

I almost placed the above photo in the collage but then decided that no, it needed it's own place and caption! Aunt Jenny, Aunt Kaley and Megan (Kaley's friend) met us at the mall for dinner and trick or treating, the girls all decided to dress up at "Gangsters" as Jenny was going to a costume party afterwards. We had so much fun laughing at them, and honestly I couldn't belive that Jenny actually followed thru and wore her outfit to the mall...although while there she did get to observe many "typical" teenagers, and picked up quite a few pointers on how she should be walking and acting! :)

Emma and Ethan LOVE some Chick A Flay as they call it! The bottom right photo you can see Aunt Ashley (who had to work Halloween night) giving them some candy as they trick or treated. Emma also got to get her face painted too. They got lots of candy and had fun walking around the mall and going into all the stores saying "trick or treat"! Several of the places were already out of candy and Emma was so funny, if they told her they didnt' have any she'd put on this pouty face and say "Oh BUMMER!".  Too Funny.

After the mall we headed out to our Fall Festival at church. Usually the kids enjoy the bounce houses the most but this year that tried some new things that quickly became favorites! Ethan LOVED the Choo Choo train, he rode that thing about 4 times, Emma was also very excited about riding the horses, and they both did really well with all of the games. Ethan got a balloon monkey and Emma got a balloon flower.

We also rode the hayride twice. Aunt Jenny snapped this photo while we were riding to prove that I was there! We missed Alex going with us to the Fall Festival since he had to work, but were so glad that Aunt Jenny and Aunt Kaley came to enjoy it with us (and help with the kids too!). And now for the realization that it's November....and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas! WHERE has this year gone? Speaking of that...Ethan and my birthday's are this week...so be sure to check back again soon!
