Vacation

We went to Orlando last week with my Family to their Time Share resort at the Vistana. My parents had an extra week that needed to be used so my Mom booked it a couple of months ago and we all were able to spend most of the week together. Alex, My Dad, and Jenny had to work some but overall it was a great week as a family with lots of relaxing and fun by the pool.

My sister Ashley celebrated her 19th birthday while we were away. I can't believe my little sister is already 19! We all went to Bahama Breeze for dinner, and it turned into the 3 hour experience by the time we waited for a table and got our food. But we had a really great time and the kids were surprisingly good to have been out that long.

Other than playing in the 8 pools at the resort Emma and Ethan also enjoyed the playground. We went pretty much every evening after we ate supper and Emma had a ball climing, sliding, and swinging, and Ethan very much enjoyed the swings as you can see from the pictures.

There are so many planned activities at the resort. On Friday night we were able to watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics on a screen by the poolside, there were planned games and crafts and lots of stuff to do. On Tuesday night they blew up a huge screen by the pool and played the Disney movie "Cars." As we knew this was cousin Charles' favorite movie and we hardly ever get to spend any time with just their family we invited them to meet us half way since they live on the other side of Orlando. Uncle Aaron got off work a little early and they all arrived around 6:30, Emma and Charles had a ball in the pool together. They both swam around with their little floaties on, then the movie began....they sat in a lounge chair together covered up with a towel and ate popcorn by the pool watching their movie. SO CUTE! Of course being still didn't last long for the two of them so they finished watching the movie from the kiddie pool. It was nice to spend some time with Aaron, Angela, Charles, and also to be able to see baby Isabella.

Alex was able to spend most of the week with us, he came over on Monday afternoon and only had to leave for a while on Wedensday for training. Emma and Ethan loved playing in the pool with him, playing on the playground and also feeding the ducks. One of the pools was very shallow with a bunch of spouts coming out of the ground and Emma and Ethan just thought those were the coolest things ever. Emma would run for hours back and forth through them and Ethan when he wasn't being a fussy boy would crawl around and splash in them.

We had a lot of fun hanging out with my sisters and parents. Emma was a little party girl the entire week, I don't think the child went to bed before 11 pm any night we were there! But hey, she's on vacation too. She took some good naps though since she played so hard. She was always wanting to go to wherever the big girls were going and had fun playing with Jenny, Ashley, & Kaley. Papa swam and played with her in the pool, Nana took her to the activity center several times and they made a cool butterfly craft one afternoon. Ethan enjoyed all the attention and most of the time he enjoyed playing in the water. It was very nice to have have the pool so close to our room and have some time to relax. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you SO MUCH Nana & Papa! We love you guys!

(As soon as I get the pics from my parents & sisters I will post more pics of them with the kids).

Thank you for having us to the pool, we had a great time. If Charles could talk better I'm sure he would still be talking about his night with Emma.
These are some great pictures, please send me some when you get the chance.
