Week two of homeschooling has been just as much fun as week one, if not more! This week our letter of the week is "Bb" and we are continuing to work on all the phonics sounds, numbers, math, introduced the concepts of "greater than" and "less than" and of course worked on our current Unit study of Butterflies!

Our morning routine consists of Bible and prayer and then saying the Alphabet with the sounds, working on our Days of the week, and months of the year (there are songs which I will take a video of soon!)!

Our current unit study is on Butterflies. We have learned all about Metamorphasis, what a Pupa is and the life cycles of butterflies. Emma is thoroughly enjoying herself! This morning while we ate breakfast she spotted a moth that had landed on the window so we went outside for some "observation" and we were able to catch it so Emma and Ethan could study it up closely (of course we will release it at the end of the day!)

They had to put some sticks and grass inside the jar so the Moth would have something to land on.

Emma was so excited when I told her we would be using KONOS for Unit Study and that she would be able to pick out her own curriculum. Of course Butterflies was first on her list, but we have many more on the waiting list to come. What better way to make school and learning fun than to allow each individual child to pick the things that interest them the most!

Our letter for week two is the letter "Bb". Emma is very carefully working on one of her practice/coloring sheets.
Also be SURE to check back later this afternoon as we have a VERY SPECIAL video to share!
