Happy Independence Day!

July 4th this year was a rainy one. We went to church Sunday morning and then Alex had to work at Lowes, but he brought the kids home a few fireworks and sparklers, a little rain didn't keep us from celebrating!

The kids loved the sparklers which was quite the difference from last year's festivities when Ethan was a little afraid of them but he was just mesmerized! Alex had bought a pkg of 6 boxes of sparklers thinking we'd save some for our beach trip (more to come on that later) but nope, Ethan wanted ALL of them! It of course was still raining so we did our 'fireworks' and sparklers while getting soaked, the kids thought it was the best thing ever!

We had to go inside and get changed since we were all soaking wet but decided a trip in the car to Tigertown was in order so that we could see some real fireworks. We stopped and got mm's and icees on the way...as you can see Emma and Ethan were just a little excited.

A bit of a change from last year, but we had fun anyways!
