October 31st

What a big day Friday was for us! Emma has been looking forward to the Fall Festival ALL WEEK long and counting down the days until it got here....Friday came.....She woke up.......with a rash all over her body! I'm thinking "Great, she's contagious and I won't be able to take her and that would just be the end of the world for the poor child", needless to say we started off our day with an apt. to see Dr. Frates. However, I must first note that Emma wanted to be a doctor for the Fall Festival and since I had told her the previous night that tomorrow was the day when she woke up....well, can you guess she was ready to dress up! So, dress up we did, Emma wore her scrubs, doctor coat, crocks, and with stethescope in tow off we headed to see her reall Doctor! :) All the nurses just thought she was the cutest thing ever, and she was all smiles and showing off until HE walked through the door, then she was ready to go home. Thank goodness it was just a viral rash and she was no longer contagious. WHEW....talk about a momma being concerned, cause God knows if I'd had to take her to the pediatricians (which is just a nightmare in itself) AND miss the Fall Festival I would have had a very upset little girl on my hands. We left the Dr's office and headed home for a nap and then it was off for a fun evening:

Daddy of course had to work the late shift but we were able to meet him at the Mall for dinner so he could see the kids in their costumes and also take them for a little Trick or Treating. Emma and Ethan were SO cute! :) Yes, I may be biased being their Momma but come on...you have to admit they are adorable! Aunt Ashley also had to work at "Chik-A-Flay" (Emma's name for it) so we had to go see her too! Gigi, Pop Pop, Aunt Aimee, and Uncle Michael brough Gabe up to the mall and we all ate together. Gigi & Pop Pop brought some pretty yummy treats to kick off the kids buckets! Also I want to thank you Aunt Aimee & Gigi for making the costumes - so much better than store bought ones!

After the Mall we headed off to the Fall Festival with Aunt Jenny in tow. Emma and Ethan especially loved the petting zoo, and Emma thought she was such a big girl playing golf! Ethan ran all over the field at the back of the church and Emma jumped and jumped in the bounce houses.

We also got to ride the hayride. Emma kept trying to stand up....oh my goodness that child is a mess! What a good picture of Aunt Jenny, me, Ems and Ethan.

As if that wasn't enough, after the Fall Festival we headed to Nana & Papa's house for a PARTY! They are alwasy having those over there and that is just fine with Emma who is my little party animal. We had a bon fire and at Chili and then Nana and me took Emma and Ethan to a few houses to Trick or Treat for real, we stopped by Great Grandma and Grandpa Brooks' to show them off too! What a day! We didn't get home until 10:00 PM, off for tubby time and bedtime for the kiddos, and Mommy was exhausted, but it was fun!
