Work in Progress

Here's my Dad & Alex beginning to lay tile yesterday morning. After a few little hang ups (like finding a drill to mix the thinset with...long story) they started laying the tile about 10:30 am. While they worked on the floors I worked on cleaning the tile & grout in the bathrooms. How fun! I got the hall bath pretty well cleaned up but the tile in our master bath is in pretty rough shape, we may end up replacing that after we move in for a weekend project. Emma tries to be such a big helper when we go over to the house, and as you can see from the picture she has her two favorite "tools" in her hands! The broom and dust pan, which she sweeps all over the house with, the only problem yesterday was she kept wanting to clean up the wet thinset Alex was laying for the tile! Once it's all finished she will be able to sweep away to her little hearts content. My mom took Emma for the morning so I could work on the bathrooms and then she brought us lunch around 12:30 or so. Emma had fallen asleep in the car so we just brought her carseat in the house while we ate lunch. Her first official nap in our new house!



Here's the work in progress! I took these pictures yesterday afternoon around 6:00 pm when the guys were quitting for the day. The living room, dining, laundry/computer and half the hallway is done already. After church today we will go back and finish up the kitchen, hallway, and bathrooms then all that's left is to do the grout. It looks SO GOOD! I can't wait to move in!
