2 Weeks & Counting!!!!!!!

We are so excited. Finally down to the countdown!!!! HOORAY! The drywall has been put up this week and the painting was finished (see pics below). We spent Wednesday evening cleaning up some of the trash and dusting the walls, doors, window sills. Alex and Daddy are going to lay the floor tile this weekend, the carpet will be put in sometime middle of next week and then the cabinets for the Kitchen are scheduled for next Friday. If everything goes as planned we will have a few odds & ins to finish up and we should be able to move in weekend of September 15th. I will be sure to post pictures tomorrow and Monday of the tile laying process. Until then....

Alex measuring for the tile last night to make sure we were ordering enough. This picture is taken from the front door looking into the living room and dining room.

A new front door!

Emma helping us clean up. She walked around the house and swept for us!

House Update

Here are a few pictures I took last weekend so you can see the progress as we go along. You will see that the insulation had been put in at this time.

Praise God!

Well, I went to back for all my Doctor's appointments this morning. The placenta has moved up to where it's supposed to be! Praise God! Everything is perfectly healthy with both Ethan and me. My blood pressure was 110/78 and my weight gain is right on track (no I'm not telling you how much I weigh!). After the glucose test (we will know the results from that first of next week) we had the sonogram to check on the placenta issue. Since they were already doing a songram we were able to get a few new pictures as well as a few updated stats on Ethan! He is growing perfectly healthy and growing at a great pace. According to measurements he is about 2 lbs, 6 oz. right now and about 15" long. His heart rate was 146 Beats Per Minute. I know the sonogram pic is a little blurry but our little man would not be still for a good shot! Here is the best profile I got, if you look closely you can see the outline of his face which shows his lips, nose, and chin! Emma was so cute while I was having the sonogram. Alex and I kept telling her to watch the t.v. so she could see Ethan and she kept saying his name over and over! Then of course she had to sit with Mommy for a while too. Alex is very thrilled that Ethan is "still" a boy (he was secretly afraid they might have gotten the gender wrong last time) and Emma talks about Ethan all the time and his "kicking". We all can't wait to meet him in person very soon.

Kitchen

Well, if you are saying to yourself WOW then I can imagine why....yeah this picture is pretty bad, but Alex and I are trying to take pics along the way as the house is being remodeled so that when it is finished we'll be able to see the progress. This is the kitchen, all the cabinets were ripped out yesterday and the plumbing and drywall is being re done this week. Hopefully by end of next week we will have the cabinets in from Catherines Kitchens and get them ready to be installed. It's a mess around the house right now, but It's going to be so amazing when it's finished! We can't wait to move in......

Ashley's Birthday

I cannnot believe that my middle little sister is 18 years old! Good grief, how time flies. Mom and Dad took Ash to the beach with a couple of her friends this week and Emma and I drove down to spend 2 days. We enjoyed going out to dinner on Wednesday night and then hanging out at the beach on Thursday. The above picture is of my parents, sisters, Emma and I (Alex couldn't make it down because he had to work late). We all went out to dinner at the Beach House for Ashley's Bday dinner and for desert the waitress brought a HUGE dessert of icecream & cake. Ashley was kind enough to share with everyone and as you can see little Emma very much enjoyed having her very own spoon to get as much icecream as her little heart wanted! Needless to say we had to take a tubby when we got back to the room because Emma had ice cream ALL OVER HER!

Here is Emma on Thursday hanging out at the beach. Emma absolutely loves the water, especially the pool, but we did get her to play in the sand some and of course she enjoyed chasing the Sea Gulls!

All the Cousins

Gigi & Pop Pop kept Charles this past weekend and it was a great chance for all of the cousins to be together and play. It's amazing to see them all together and see how much they are all growing! Emma and Charles really enjoyed playing with each other....Gabe will be playing with them both soon enough and then in two more months Ethan will be here!

House Update

Well, the house is coming along well. We have made a decision for the flooring, paint colors, the cabinets for the kitchen are in the process of being made....we cannot wait until we can move in! Right now we are waiting on a couple of permits to go through the city of Lakeland and hopefully if all goes according to schedule we are looking at 1st of September to move in. Here are the paint colors of all the bedrooms....Emma's Room - The walls are lavendar, we will do flowers and butterflies for the decor.

Ethan's Room - The walls are sky blue and the decor for the nursery will be airplanes. Here is Emma in Alex and My Room.

Babysitting Gabe

Emma and I babysat Gabe for the first time only a week ago. Aimee has gone back to work part time and we are switching off keeping each others kids. Emma and I had a great time hanging out with Gabe...Emma loves her little cousin so much!

The Joys of Pregnancy

I checked my email this morning and had my weekly update on the pregnancy progress. I am now entering week 27. The above cartoon was attached and I just couldn't resist posting it for all you ladies who have been pregnant at one time or another. This is me right now, poor Alex...sometimes I cry or get upset and he asks why and here I go with " I don't know why", at which point he says its because you're pregnant! :) Oh they joys of marriage and pregnancy.

Seriously though, other than being a little emotional these days I have felt pretty good. Ethan is kicking a lot now, and it's awesome because Emma will walk up to me and put her hand on my belly and say "kicking?". It is the cutest thing ever. I am still scheduled to go back on August 10th (next Friday) for my next appointment and the other sonogram to find out if the placenta has moved. We will continue to pray that everything works out!
