Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day relaxing and enjoying ourselves! Aimee and I went in to work Monday morning for about 3 hours and then Michael and Aimee met us at the house for a road trip. We left around lunch time and went to Ellenton to shop at the outlet mall. After that we went to Anna Maria Island and hung out at the beach. It was so much fun!

Emma in the ocean

Emma loved the ocean. She hasn't been since last September when we went with my parents and she was only 9 months old. She walked and played and splashed, loved feeling the sand between her toes. She kept saying "bubbles" to the waves! It was a perfect afternoon though because we didn't get to the beach until around 4 o'clock so it wasn't too hot and the tide was low so Emma had little tidal pools to play in.

Here is Aimee and Michael at dinner. We ate dinner at the Beach House Restaurant. We sat out on the patio and watched the sunset. What a perfect way to end the day!
