Skiing

What a beautiful view from the top! Alex and I were able to go skiing on Thursday morning for about 3 hours thanks to Aunt Aimee for keeping Emma. The day was gorgeous and the snow was perfect. We very much enjoyed our time together and being able to experience some of God's beauty in such an amazing setting. The elevation at the top of the slopes at Angel Fire was 10,677 feet above sea level! Talk about thin air! Some of the trails were over 3 miles long, a nice long run down the mountain.

Neither me or Alex had ever been out west for a winter vacation before...everyone tells you how great it is, but until you experience it for yourself I can never begin to explain what it's like. The mountains are so different from the Smokey's and the snow is so powdery. We are very blessed that we were able to take this trip and be able to go with extended family as well. Making memories...
