Christmas Afternoon at Great Grammie & Papa Bates

What a busy day we had on Christmas! I think this is finally my last post for the "Christmas Experience"! We spent the afternoon at Alex's grandparents house and had a wonderful lunch and opened even more gifts! Here is a picture of Grammie taking time out from cooking to show Emma one of her many Santa's.

The picture to the right is of Alex, Emma (she had had enough of her Christmas PJ's at this point!) and Uncle Aaron and cousin Charlie. Emma and Charles are the new generation that made Christmas oh so much fun for the rest of us! You can see Aunt Angela, Pop Pop, Cailey and Papa in the background.

Emma LOVES her little cousin Charles. She kept trying to get him to give him hugs and kisses and of course she wanted to "pet" him! I can't wait for him to get a little bit older, they will be running around playing with each other next year at Christmas, and of course by then Aunt Aimee and Uncle Mikey will have had their baby too!

There are currently 5 generations in the Bates/Hanke family! Gma J as we call her gave Emma a book for Christmas which is one of her favorite things to do. We sit for hours reading books and pointing at all the pictures!

Here's a picture of Alex. This just goes to show how much fun he and Emma will have for years to come playing with all the toys at Christmas! Emma's 2nd cousin Caleb got two guns for Christmas so of course Alex and Caleb had to run around the house shooting at each other!

Finally here is a picture of Emma sleeping. She had such a big day but was such a good girl. She slept while we ate lunch which was nice because I was able to enjoy Christmas dinner and take my time! Although it was only one of her signature 20 minute naps!
