Emma's Baptism

On the way to church (and she had to bring her baby!) for a VERY SPECIAL occasion! Emma getting baptized! Alex and I knew that she had asked Jesus in her heart last year but wanted to wait on baptism until she understood that commitment and asked about it. Since she's been in kindergarten since the  beginning of the school year she has been moved up in SS and attends part of service w us before childrens church. Emma started seeing all the baptisms and started asking lots of questions. Last month she came to me and Alex and stated "its time!" I love her sincere and yet childlike faith! We knew we wanted this very special day to be a memorable occasion so we scheduled it when we knew that Alex would have the honor of baptizing her and when family and friends could come.

Gigi & Pop came for the beginning of servic and were able to see the baptism. Grammie & Papa Bates as well at Uncle Andy also came and supported Emma and sat with us in church but in all the commotion I didn't get a photo before they left. We are so glad to have family close that are able to come and share in special events like these.

Emma was SO very excited and even happier that her Daddy was baptizing her. When we got to the baptismal room and she put on her robe she was dying laughing and thought it was funny because the robe had legs in it!

This is one PROUD Mommy and Daddy right here! To know that both of our children love Jesus with all their hearts and are following in His ways the best their little hearts know how is amazing to watch. The faith of a child is truly amazing.

Our Pastor graciously allowed Alex to baptize Emma and I know that this is one of the special moments they will always share together!

After church we went to Chili's. Nana, Papa, Jenny, Ashley, and Kaley wouldn't have missed this girls baptims for the world! They were on the front row with Tyler & Krisia cheering her on!

One HUGE surprise was that Tyler and Krisia drove down to Florida a day early to start their vacation just so that they could come and see Emma be baptized. We are so thankful to be blessed with friends like them!

Family Photo! These are rare bc I'm usually the one taking all the photos! This was a fun and exciting day and we are so very proud of Emma for showing everyone that she loves Jesus and wants to follow Him!
